VizSens-ODO

Advanced Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor

The VizSens-ODO is a cutting-edge optical dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor designed for precise and reliable measurement in various water environments. It utilizes luminescent technology for accurate DO detection, offering several advantages over traditional methods.

Key Features of the VizSens-ODO Sensor

  • Luminescent Sensor Cap:  The sensor cap houses a luminescent material that is key to the optical DO measurement process.  A blue LED light excites this material, causing it to emit red light. The intensity and duration of the red light emission are directly correlated to the dissolved oxygen concentration in the water, enabling precise DO calculations.
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC):  A built-in temperature sensor automatically corrects for temperature variations that can affect dissolved oxygen readings. This ensures accurate data in environments with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Durable Probe Construction: The VizSens-ODO features a robust design for long-term use in harsh environments.

Benefits of Using the VizSens-ODO Sensor

  • Accurate and Reliable DO Measurement:  Provides dependable data for informed decision-making in various water quality monitoring applications.
  • Reduced Maintenance:  Optical technology  generally requires less maintenance compared to traditional probes with membranes that need frequent replacement.
  • Fast Response Time: Enables real-time monitoring of dynamic water quality changes.
  • Less Prone to Interferences: Luminescent sensors offer advantages by being less susceptible to interferences from external factors like stirring, salinity changes, or environmental conditions.
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation: Ensures accurate readings even with temperature fluctuations.

Applications of the VizSens-ODO Sensor

The VizSens-ODO sensor's versatility and advanced features make it suitable for a wide range of applications requiring precise dissolved oxygen monitoring, including:

  • Water Treatment Plants: Precise DO measurement is crucial for optimizing water treatment processes, ensuring proper aeration, and maintaining water quality. The VizSens-ODO's fast response time and minimal maintenance requirements make it ideal for these applications.
  • Aquaculture: Monitoring DO levels in fish farms is essential for maintaining healthy aquatic environments.  Low DO levels can be harmful to fish health. The VizSens-ODO's reliability and reduced maintenance needs are valuable assets in aquaculture applications.
  • Environmental Monitoring: DO is an important indicator of water quality and ecosystem health. The VizSens-ODO can be used to monitor lakes, rivers, streams, and other water bodies, with its resistance to interferences ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Wastewater Treatment:  Maintaining adequate DO levels is necessary for efficient biological processes in wastewater treatment. The VizSens-ODO's fast response and minimal maintenance requirements can benefit these processes.
  • Industrial Process Control:  Dissolved oxygen monitoring is required in various industrial processes, such as power generation and chemical production. The VizSens-ODO's features, like fast response and reduced maintenance, make it suitable for these applications.

By providing a reliable and advanced solution for dissolved oxygen measurement, the VizSens-ODO sensor empowers users in various applications to gain valuable insights into water quality, optimize processes, and ensure environmental health.
